The MP2 Research Group Equipment

Equipment
Overview of our
Radio-Frequency Induction Heaters

MP2 Research Group also has a suite of high-voltage, radio-frequency induction furnaces which are capable of creating melts whose temperature far exceeds the melting points of conventional refractory materials.

With our various units, we now have the capacity to conduct melt-dynamics, phase-relations, and crystallization experiments on materials of a variety of bulk compositions, even with massive quantities of refractory materials such as zirconium or niobium oxide present.
