Preparation of mineral samples and specimens for analytical and mechanical testing is an art form in itself. The techniques and equipment used are so varied and diversified, dependent upon the sample itself, it is impossible to list them all here. Suffice it to say that the results of anying testing are interdependent upon how well this preparation work is performed.
